1. Overview
Rentivo Car Rental & Hotel Services strives to provide excellent service. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both customers and our business. Please read this policy carefully before booking.
2. Car Rental Refund Policy
Cancellation Timeline:
- More than 7 days before rental: Full refund
- 4-7 days before rental: 75% refund (25% cancellation fee)
- 1-3 days before rental: 50% refund (50% cancellation fee)
- Less than 24 hours before rental: No refund
- After rental has started: No refund
Damage or Incident During Rental:
In the event of damage to the rental vehicle beyond normal wear and tear, the renter is responsible for repairs. The renter's security deposit will be applied to cover damage costs. No refund will be issued if damage costs exceed the deposit.
Refund Processing:
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.
3. Hotel Booking Refund Policy
Hotel-Specific Policies:
Hotel booking refunds are determined by the individual hotel's cancellation policy, which will be provided at the time of booking confirmation. Some hotels offer:
- Full refund with cancellation 7+ days in advance
- Partial refunds for cancellations within specific timeframes
- Non-refundable rates with no refunds allowed
Our Role:
We assist with booking assistance and processing. Refunds from hotels are processed directly by the hotel property. We are not responsible for hotel cancellation policy changes or disputes.
Refund Processing:
Hotel refunds typically take 7-14 business days from the hotel's refund processing date, depending on the payment method and hotel processing time.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
No refunds will be issued for:
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the rental/booking start date
- Damage to the rental vehicle caused by renter negligence or violation of rental agreement
- Traffic violations, parking tickets, or other fines incurred during rental
- Additional fees charged due to late return of rental vehicle
- Services that have already been provided or commenced

6. Special Circumstances
If you have a special circumstance (medical emergency, family emergency, etc.) that affects your booking, please contact us immediately. We may be able to offer alternatives such as rebooking without additional fees or providing a partial refund based on the situation.
7. Payment Method Returns
Refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the booking:
- Credit/Debit Card: 5-7 business days
- PayPal: 5-7 business days
- Other methods: Varies by provider (typically 7-10 business days)
8. Disputes and Appeals
If you believe a refund decision is incorrect or unfair, you may appeal by providing additional documentation or explanation. Please contact us at info@rentivo.ca within 30 days of the refund decision.

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
